Kerin English is an Aquarian aesthete. A life long passion for beauty drew her to study art in Sydney, specialising in Design, Photography and Serigraphy. Also a lover of fashion, contemporary and vintage, it was a natural progression to create a boutique fashion accessories business specialising in original, hand printed leather designs with her life partner John. During this time Kerin and John spent two successful years in London.
After returning to Sydney, marrying and having two gorgeous children, Lolita and Carlos, Kerin began a new venture in women’s fashion clothing. She designed edgy, glamorous street wear with body hugging silhouettes in block colours or striking, romantic, botanic and tribal prints. She also created nostalgic, 1930’s Hollywood inspired bias cut silk party dresses adorned with metallic embroidery, hand beading, sequins or feathers. Another collection was La Dolce Vita inspired dresses in pastel floral tapestry stretch satins and moody, saturated water colour floral stretch silk.
Over recent years, Kerin has come full circle to rediscover the excitement of creating beautiful timeless handbags, cross body and shoulder sacs, pouches, wristlets and clutches. Kerin is working with soft, supple Italian and French leather hides and printed calf hair. She is also featuring Belgium and Italian textured linens combined with super soft leathers in both classic and bold colour stories. Kerin’s aim is to introduce more beautiful textiles into forth coming collections.

It is her ethos that we all think consciously about our impact on the environment and work collectively for a happy, safe future for our children and generations to come. Kerin’s designs are luxurious and enduring, transcending seasonal changes they will live on into the future.
Kerin is an artisan and oversees all aspects of production at The Ridge Studio, with beautiful ocean and sub tropical rainforest views on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. Kerin’s products are exclusive as only small quantities are produced. Kerin has three ranges, Jungle, Luxxe and Exotica. Jungle is inspired creations for everyday. Luxxe is luxurious creations in a limited edition of ten. Exotica is a one off creation.

At present Kerin’s creations are available in Sydney at The Museum of Contemporary Art Store, Circular Quay, and The Glass Artists’ Gallery Glebe.
